10 ways you can stop bleeding at home
Whether an injury is small or big, it can result in great loss of blood which can then result in instant death. This is why they should not be joked with at all. It must always be handled with extreme care.
Whenever you are bleeding as a result of an injury, what you have to do first is to apply pressure on the affected area until you can get a proper medical care.
If there is no proper medical care center near you, you can do the following:

1. Scent leaves.
Get scent leaves and wash them thoroughly until they are very clean and free from any form of bacteria. Grind the scent leaves. Squeeze the juice out of them onto the injury. The bleeding is going to stop a few minutes later.
2. Tea.
Tea do contain tannins which are known to be very effective in stopping bleeding. Simply place a teabag on the affected area. It does not just stop the bleeding, it prevents infections as well.
3. Chromolaena odorata ( known as achampong leaf in Akan Twi language).
Get and wash chromolaena odorata leaves. Crush or grind them. Squeeze the juice onto the injured area. Wait a few minutes, the bleeding will stop.
4. Hair.
When a barber accidentally cuts someone during barbering, the best option to stop the bleed is by picking some of the hair and putting it into the cut. The bleeding will stop instantly.
5. Cayenne pepper powder.
Cayenne pepper contains certain compounds that speeds up clotting of blood. Sprinkle a bit of cayenne pepper powder on any cut. It stops clotting really fast. It also promotes faster healing.
6. Mouthwash.
Apply mouthwash to your cuts to stop bleeding.
Mouthwash contains alcohol and alcohol when applied to a cut constricts the blood vessels. When the blood vessels are constricted, the blood stops flowing.
7. Antiperspirant spray.
Aluminium chloride in antiperspirants sprays constricts blood vessels as soon as they are applied to the injury just like how it contricts sweat glands when sprayed onto the armpit to stop sweat.
8. Ice.
Apply ice to the injury. It forces the blood vessels to constrict and as soon as they constrict, blood stops to flow hence bleeding stops.

Put some amount of salt in water. Let it dissolve to obtain a concentrated salt solution. Apply it to the injury.
This stops the bleeding instantly and also helps kill any bacteria that could possibly infect the wound.
10. Turmeric powder.
Tumeric powder contains certain compounds that makes it anti-inflammatory in nature hence very good for healing and stopping of bleeding.
