Fresh Tips: Be Odor-Free Naturally!

Body odor is truly embarrassing; it brings down one's self-esteem and confidence.

I distinctly remember my college days—oh, it was awful. I had a very bad body odor; tried out many remedies to stop it, but none worked at that time. I vividly recall how my friends made fun of me, talked behind me, and mocked me. It was horrible.

You wouldn't know you smell bad yourself unless someone bold enough tells you. This is because you become very accustomed to it.

My mom talked about how bad my body odor was way before I went to college, but it got worse in college due to overcrowded dormitories and poor ventilation. Too much sweat is a recipe for disaster as far as body odor is concerned.

In my last days in college and after, I started reading a lot about the human body and health. That's when I became enlightened and started understanding my body. As soon as I began doing what was good for my body and ignoring what was not, I started smelling fresh and became quite the lady's man.

Here are ways you can avoid or get rid of body odor at home naturally:

1. Check your diet:

A balanced vegetarian or vegan diet can help eliminate body odor. In 2019, I tried a vegan diet and experienced significant improvements.

2. Shower at least two times a day:

Showering frequently removes bacteria and sweat, two main factors contributing to body odor.

3. Wash your clothes regularly:

Regular washing eliminates sweat and prevents odor-causing bacteria.

4. Use baking powder:

Apply baking soda to your pubic parts before showering to eliminate dirt and bacteria.

5. Use wood ash:

Apply wood ash to your armpits before showering to disrupt the conditions that allow bacteria to grow.

6. Apply lemon on your armpits:

Rub lemon halves on your armpits, wait for them to dry, and then shower.

7. Take care of your pubic hair:

Shave regularly to prevent the accumulation of odor-causing bacteria in pubic areas.

8. Dry clothes properly after washing:

Bacteria thrive in moist areas, so ensure your clothes are thoroughly dried after washing.

9. Shoes:

Ensure your shoes are dry before wearing them and wear socks to prevent additional odor.

10. Exercise in open air areas:

Regular exercise helps reduce smelly sweat.

11. Wood ash plus lemon or lime:

Mix wood ash with lemon or lime juice, apply it to your armpits before showering.

12. Eat lots of fruits:

Fruits like pineapple, orange, and apple can contribute to a pleasant body odor.

13. Avoid certain vegetables:

Stay away from vegetables like broccoli, cabbage, onion, and garlic to prevent bad body odor.
